United States Naval Academy Team wins 2021 NSA Cyber Exercise
NSA’s NCX is a year-round cyber education program culminating with an unclassified exercise designed to reinforce the learning principles gained in the classroom. NCX provides an integrated program at the undergraduate level that helps to advance strategic cybersecurity through education and training to develop and test cybersecurity skills, teamwork, planning, communication, and decision making.

NSA Cyber Exercise 2021 kicks off
FORT MEADE, Md. — The National Security Agency announced today the kick-off of its 20th annual National Cyber Exercise (NCX), a three-day annual cyber competition that tests the offensive and defensive cybersecurity skills of participant teams from U.S. Service Academies and Senior Military Colleges as well as civilian interns from NSA’s cyber-focused development programs.

GenCyber Call for Proposals
Today, the National Security Agency announced a new GenCyber Call for Proposals for 2022 GenCyber summer camps. The new Call for Proposals for GenCyber goes out to institutions interested in hosting a 2022 summer camp and to provide young students with the skills they need to better prepare for a career in the fast-changing field of cybersecurity.

MEADE, Md. — One June 2, 1948, Sir Edward Travis, director of the U.K.’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), sent a letter to “Joe,” Captain Joseph Wenger, of the U.S. Naval Cryptologic Activity, Washington. Both organizations were successors to the wartime units that had cooperated in exploiting the communications of the Axis Powers in World War II.
