Unique Competitive Advantages Drive Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin's Visit to NSAW
FT. MEADE, Md. — Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III got a firsthand look into the offensive and defensive cyberspace operations in an eventful afternoon at NSA-Washington’s East Campus on Tuesday. It was the retired four-star Army general’s first official visit to U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) and NSA as Secretary of Defense.

Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Exploiting Five Publicly Known Vulnerabilities to Compromise U.S. and Allied Networks
FORT MEADE, Md. — The National Security Agency (NSA), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) jointly released a Cybersecurity Advisory, “Russian SVR Targets U.S. and Allied Networks,” today to expose ongoing Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) exploitation of five publicly known vulnerabilities.

NSA Launches LPS Qubit Collaboratory
Today the National Security Agency’s Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS) launched the LPS Qubit Collaboratory (LQC), a Quantum Information Science research center in support of the U.S. National Quantum Initiative. The LQC offers a mechanism for collaborative research between LPS and academia, industry, FFRDCs, and Government Laboratories.

United States Naval Academy Team wins 2021 NSA Cyber Exercise
NSA’s NCX is a year-round cyber education program culminating with an unclassified exercise designed to reinforce the learning principles gained in the classroom. NCX provides an integrated program at the undergraduate level that helps to advance strategic cybersecurity through education and training to develop and test cybersecurity skills, teamwork, planning, communication, and decision making.

NSA Cyber Exercise 2021 kicks off
FORT MEADE, Md. — The National Security Agency announced today the kick-off of its 20th annual National Cyber Exercise (NCX), a three-day annual cyber competition that tests the offensive and defensive cybersecurity skills of participant teams from U.S. Service Academies and Senior Military Colleges as well as civilian interns from NSA’s cyber-focused development programs.
