*By participating in the Stokes Educational Scholarship Program, you agree to work for NSA

for at least one-and-one-half times the length of study upon graduation.

 

Program Eligibility

While the eligibility requirements for the Stokes Program are
subject to change from year to year, the basic requirements
are as follows:

  • You must be a U.S. citizen
  • You must be a high-school senior at the time of application
  • You must be able to obtain a security clearance
  • Meeting a minimum test scores: SAT 1200 or ACT 25
  • Holding a 3.0 GPA or higher (preferred for STEM)

Qualified Career Fields

Stokes Scholars must be planning to major in one of the
following:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Computer Science
  • Computer/Electrical Engineering
  • Cybersecurity
  • Data Science
  • Mathematics
  • Language Analysis (Chinese)

  • Resume
  • Transcript
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • SAT/ACT scores
  • Essay: "I want a career at NSA because..."
