NSA/CSS Georgia Anticipates New Operations Facility

The National Security Agency/Central Security Service is pleased to announce that its Cryptologic Center in Georgia -- NSA/CSS Georgia (NSAG) -- is looking forward to a new operations facility. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, awarded the design/build contract for the facility on 7 December 2006.

The new facility will provide the Center's cryptologic professionals the tools necessary to rapidly access, display, share, and collaboratively interpret data from a broad variety of sources and at various classification levels. The enhanced capabilities coupled with ongoing policy changes and cultural evolution are all in an effort to eliminate physical, virtual, and systemic barriers to information sharing. The new, state-of-the-art facility will replace the existing facility and will also accommodate the recent growth in the civilian and military workforce. Colonel Stephen G. Fogarty, NSAG's Commander, foresees a bright future for NSAG. "This new facility will enable us to strengthen our intelligence support to our nation's policy makers and military leaders and members as they perform their mission," he said

As a leader in the net-centric cryptologic enterprise, NSAG conducts Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) operations, trains the cryptologic workforce, and enables global communications-all critical to the success of our national decision-makers, Combatant Commands, and deployed U.S./Coalition forces. The expansion at NSAG is one facet of NSA's efforts to evolve a global cryptologic enterprise that is resilient, agile, and effective in prosecuting a dynamic threat environment.

The Agency, headquartered at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, leads the intelligence community in delivering responsive, reliable, effective, and expert Signals Intelligence and Information Assurance products and services, and enables Network Warfare operations to gain a decisive information advantage for the Nation and our allies.
