National Security Agency, Civil Liberties and Privacy Office Report

This document provides an unclassified overview of NSA's implementation of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Section 702. It is also entered into the Federal Register (www.regulations.gov; docket PCLOB-2013-005-0073) to satisfy PCLOB request for information to inform their upcoming report and to be more transparent to the public. The report is based primarily on previously approved and declassified material related FISA Section 702 and adds explanations of NSA's privacy and civil liberties protections currently in place.
