TEMPEST Certification Program

The TEMPEST Certification Program (TCP) consists of two closely related NSA Programs: the Certified TEMPEST Manufacturer Program, and the Certified TEMPEST Test Services Program.

The Certified TEMPEST Manufacturer Program

The Certified TEMPEST Manufacturer Program combines industry's leadership and expertise in telecommunications and automated information-processing equipment design, development, and high volume production with the TEMPEST experience of the National Security Agency (NSA). The objective of the Program is to enable industry's development, production, and sale of TEMPEST products - which meet the National TEMPEST Standard for use by the U.S. and NATO Nations, Government departments and agencies, and their contractors, to process classified information.

The Certified TEMPEST Test Services Program

The Certified TEMPEST Test Services Program (CTTSP) fosters the availability of certified TEMPEST Test Services Facilities for use by the U.S. Government departments and agencies, U.S. Government contractors, and eligible U.S. TEMPEST manufacturers, in the development and production of TEMPEST products, including encryption devices. The objective of the Program is to ensure that TEMPEST test and product configuration services - required in the development and production of TEMPEST products - are provided by facilities meeting the personnel, equipment, and facility requirements of this Program. This Program is an adjunct to the U.S. Government TEMPEST Certification Special Committee, which is responsible for the certification of TEMPEST Professionals.
