questions for upcoming article in Information Security Magazine

Hi--I'm technical editor at Information Security Magazine, and working on an article about SE Linux, and the impact it's had over the past year. The material online explains very nicely how the technologies work, but we're looking for some input from people directly involved in the project or using it.

In particular, we're looking for answers to these questions, and others:

  • It's been over a year since the initial release of Security Enhanced Linux. How much affect, if any, has SE Linux had on the mainstream Linux community?
  • Where can SE Linux best be applied? How is it being used now? Does anyone have any success stories to relate about using it?
  • What progress is being made in the stated future directions published on the www.nsa.gov/selinux/todo.html page?
  • At what point will SE Linux be considered "complete"?

I appreciate any and all feedback; I will be contacting appropriate press contacts as well, but any comments from project participants or users is most welcome.

I've joined the list, so responses to the list are fine with me (as is direct email or even a phone call).

Thanks very much in advance!

regards,
-pl
