hi,
we´re working on a passwd patch that will force root/users to choose acceptable login passwords and we want to use this with SELinux. is there any recommendations, requirements for this sort of thing?

solar designer has a pluggable on'the-fly password routine that plugs into PAM. http://www.openwall.com/

that may work for you. check it out.
