KEEPER OF THE KEY
In a keyword-mixed alphabet, a word is selected to be the KEY. Repeated letters are dropped and the word is followed by the rest of the unused letters in the alphabet. This sequence is then slid to the left or right some number of positions (allowing the sequence to "wrap around" to the other end where necessary) to create a substitution code. Each cryptogram uses a different slide, which is determined by the letters in a "setting" word, which is written vertically beneath the first letter of the keyword-mixed alphabet.
