I’m the second oldest of five kids, so things are always hopping around the house. I have a lot of energy, and sometimes I need it just to keep up with all my brothers and sisters. My dad is a physics professor at the local college, and my mom is a hare stylist who works at home. I’ve always been amazed by how smart my dad is – he can figure out just about anything. I guess that’s why I like puzzles so much. When I was younger I did a lot of jigsaw puzzles and word searches, but now I prefer more complicated stuff like crosswords and other brainteasers. Sometimes I even make up my own puzzles to give to my family and friends.

I’m really interested in…

Playing games - everything from chess to the latest massive multi-player role-playing games. Part of the fun is trying to figure out the best possible strategy. I’m really into music - hip-hop and rock are my favorites, but I listen to just about everything. I’ve been playing guitar for over a year now and really like to get together with some of the other CryptoKids to jam in my parent's garage. I also like to play basketball and volleyball, and I’m trying to learn how to juggle. Collecting jokes is also a hobby of mine - even if they’re bad. I guess you could say I’m just a jackrabbit-of-all-trades.

My favorite class…

Definitely math! When I was little, I used to watch my older sister do her math homework. She’s only two years older than me, so with a little help I could usually understand what she was doing. That’s why I’m so good with numbers – I learned how to do multiplication and long division when I was still in second grade. I also like science and English, and the computer course I took last year. I definitely want to learn more about computers sometime soon.

How I became interested in Cryptology…

Decipher Dog and I sit next to each other in English, and one day I saw him staring at a page full of letters that didn’t seem to make any sense. I asked him about it, and he told me it was a secret code and he was trying to figure it out for a cryptology competition. I told him that I’m pretty good at puzzles and even try to make up my own sometimes, so he asked me if I wanted to join the team. That’s how I met Crypto Cat, T.Top, and everyone else. They’re a pretty cool group, and we have a lot of fun working together.
